Geezer Ride Schedule:  The 2018 Geezer Ride schedule is being worked out!  The Spring Geezer Ride has been  CANCELLED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER As of this time there are no plans to reschedule this event.

We were approached by the fellows from Cresco Bicycle who want to put on an event as a Geezer Ride with the date  yet to be determined. (Probably Summer?) There is also a possibility of ANOTHER Geezer Ride happening in the Williamsburg/North English area, with a date for that maybe in Fall.

Stay Tuned!

  2. Interested in possibly doing this, except it's the day after my 10th wedding anniversary so scheduling is a bit tricky...

I have a Surly Ogre with J-Bars and 35mm Schwalbe Marathons. I can change over the Marathons to a 40mm XPLOR or Knard or the like, but my drive train is a Shimano hub Alfine 8. How would that hold up for the ride, assuming I can make it?

  3. @mkellis: I would think that you could get by on your 35's but if there is any fresh gravel, you'll be at a slight disadvantage. Otherwise, it shouldn't be that big a deal.

  4. I'm currently planning on attending. Looks like Big Woods Lake Campground is conveniently connected by bike path, so I'll plan to camp there and ride over to the start.

    1. Never mind. I'm out. Car has been declared "non-trustworthy" by the mechanic, and the needed parts no longer produced.

  5. Will be there thanks! Have been wanting to partake in this ride, and this is the first date that has not interfered with my granddaughter birthday party in the spring or grandson's in the fall.
